Matthew 13:3-4 “3. Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: ‘Behold a sower went to sow. 4. And as He sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.’”

Statistics of farming show that a percentage of seeds planted will not sprout and produce crops due to any number of calamities in nature. Some seeds  just land on non-productive soil  and wither away or are scooped up by birds. Most of those sowed on good soil take root and, with proper nutrients and care, bear crops.

What We Should Know

There are multitudes of people around us today whose lives are distraught and unhappy who are not receiving the Good News of Jesus Christ and who, consequently, make bad decisions in life. We should take every opportunity to witness to them through our own life and counsel to assure them of hope and peace. The crops today are white unto harvest, but the sowers are few. Let’s share the Good News with our neighbors.
