Matthew 25:14-15 “14. For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his own goods to them. 15. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another, one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

When the master returned, he expected to see the interest earned by each of his servants as they invested his goods. Two did well but the third, out of fear of loss, did nothing but hide his portion for safe keeping.

What We Should Know

God has given to each of us talents according to our individual abilities. He has entrusted us to invest our talents in His Church so that His Church may grow as we, through our talents, reach out to the lost and share His Good News. We can do our best or we can sit back and do nothing. That is our choice. There is an old saying, “Little is much when God is in it.” Let’s recognize our gifts and invest them (use them) large or small for God’s glory.
