Psalm 100:1-2 “^1. Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! ^2. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.”

This Psalm is obviously a celebration of thanksgiving. As we read the Psalms each week and witness the revelations of the goodness, love and grace of God in spite of our sins, we commit ourselves with joy and appreciation to acceptance of and service to His perfect will in spite of our sinful nature.

What We Should Know

Through the lives and total commitment  to His service as displayed by David in the Psalms, coupled with the experiences of men like the apostles who faced life-threatening persecution through their faith in Jesus, we realize our own short-comings when it comes to faithful service and lacking witness to others. My thoughts go to that old gospel hymn…. “Have I Done My Best for Jesus?”
