Charles “Chaz” Petersen is earning an Associate of Arts degree from Southern Technical College in Auburndale. His degree focuses on the steel industry with specialties in welding and fitting.  The graduation ceremony is scheduled for July. Since Chaz graduated high school in the pandemic he received the diploma through the drive thru line at Plant City High School's football field. Needless to say, the family is very excited this time around to attend a live and in- person ceremony. Chaz attended evening classes in Auburndale commuting from his full-time job as night shift supervisor at GT Grandstands in Plant City. His parents are Chuck and Jackie Petersen.
