Malachi 2:17 “You have wearied the Lord with your words. “How have we wearied Him, you ask.” By saying, “All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and He is pleased with them” or “Where is the God of justice?”

God is speaking to the descendants of Jacob who have  turned away from their faith to self- centered pursuits. They have ceased to honor God in favor of their own prosperity. Chapt.3 vs. 15 says “But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.”

What We Should Know

The heart of leadership in our country today does not honor God. We have taken from the poor to give to the rich. We have ignored the cries of the poor and destitute and turned our back on the common people and claim to be Christians. We have ignored the basic teachings of Jesus which begin with loving our neighbor as ourselves. Chapter 3 vs. 16 says there will be a remnant of faithful      believers who will be remembered. Let us be a part of that group.
