We Look Forward To Meeting You!

Welcome to First United Methodist Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

We have two types of services to meet nearly everyone's needs. The contemporary service is a relaxed atmosphere. Our Praise Team is a group of amazing musicians who enhance your worship experience with contemporary Christian music. Most mornings we offer a continental breakfast to be enjoyed before the contemporary service. The service begins at 9am.

The traditional service is held in our beautiful Sanctuary. The stained glass windows and rich organ sounds lead you in tried and true hymns. Traditional components of worship like the Affirmation of Faith and Gloria Patri help provide a more formal atmosphere and worship experience. This service begins at 11am.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics, you're welcome at First United Methodist Church and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. During both our contemporary and traditional worship services, we have care available for infants and toddlers. Children in preschool and kindergarten and grades 1 - 5 can participate in Children's Church during the contemporary services. Your children will receive real spiritual training from a group of caring leaders during this time.

Attire

We want you to be comfortable as you worship, so please feel free to dress casually or wear your "Sunday best". Typically, dress is more casual during the contemporary service.

Sermon

We have two outstanding pastors who deliver messages that are timely, apply to our daily lives and are always grounded in the Bible.

Biblical Teaching

Here at First United Methodist Church Plant City, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged and to be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a Church family that lives out their faith together.
