All Saints’ Day – “A Great Multitude” (Revelation 7:9–17)
This Sunday, we join Christians across the ages in celebrating All Saints’ Day, a day to remember and give thanks for all those who have gone before us in faith. Revelation 7 paints a breathtaking picture of a great multitude from every nation, standing before the throne and the Lamb, robed in white, singing praises to God.
This vision reminds us that the Church is far larger than what we see each Sunday. It includes all believers, past, present, and future, united in one eternal song of worship. This Sunday, we will remember those from our own congregation who have entered the Church Triumphant, and we give thanks for the ways their faith continues to inspire and guide us.
As we worship, may we be encouraged that one day we, too, will join that great multitude, gathered in God’s presence, where there is no more hunger or thirst, and every tear is wiped away. Until that day, let us continue to serve faithfully, worship joyfully, and live with the hope of the resurrection.
“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
(Rev 7:10)
