Philippians 1:9,10 “9. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10. So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.”

In his letter to the church at Phillipi, Paul encourages them to be of one heart and one spirit as they commit to the faith and teachings of Jesus. Paul writes this letter from a jail cell where he is in chains because of his faith in Jesus. Through his example he urges all to proclaim to the world the truth of Jesus Christ and to take a stand against all opposition.

What We Should Know

If we today allow misguided political and social forces to take control, we will welcome demonic entities to come in and control our minds and our world. Isaiah 53:6 says clearly “All we like sheep have gone astray.” Our political system has shown us how that can happen. We should hold on to the teachings of Jesus in whatever endeavor we find ourselves. No political party or social more’ should ever be allowed to supersede the foundations of our Christian faith. We are one in Christ. Hold on to that.
