Philippians 2:3-5 “3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4. Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.” 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as the mindset of Jesus.”

The original attraction of the Jews to Jesus was His love and compassion for them. This was something they never experienced with the Jewish leadership. Jesus was kind and sensitive and understanding of their needs and the people were hungry for that.

What We Should Know

The needs of the people have not changed. No matter how much the world around us has changed, God’s Word is the same and Jesus’ priorities are the same……meeting the needs of others. Let us never let go of our purpose in life as it relates to our relationships with one another. Let us strive to be one in Christ.
