Acts 2:44 “All believers were together and had everything in common.”

The Day of Pentecost had come, and the Holy Spirit had come down upon the people like tongues of fire and filled the hearts of all who were there. Peter begins preaching and all were moved by his words as the Holy Spirit touched them. Peter has been empowered, and he has the attention and the interest of the people who want to know what is next.

What We Should Know

The Holy Spirit was in the hearts of the people for the first time. They knew they needed to do something, but what? In Acts 2:37, they asked Peter what shall we do?” Peter answered in verse 38, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2: 42 says “They devoted themselves to the apostles.” Then, they all came together in one spirit and had everything in common.
