Residing Hope Gift Cards

Residing Hope, formerly The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, is now a diverse ministry that includes therapeutic residential care, foster care, independent living assistance, Montessori education for the community, and counseling services in multiple counties.  Many in our congregation blesses this organization with gift cards during this holiday season. 

If you’d like to contribute, you may bring your gift cards to the church office. We will send them together as a group, but please have them to the office by 9:00 AM on Monday, December 1st to ensure they arrive at Residing Hope by their requested deadline. If you decide to send your cards independently, please contact the church office for the form that Residing Hope needs when you send in the cards.

Guidelines:

Gift cards are normally given in increments of $10 - $100 (prefer larger increments when possible).   Please write the gift card amount somewhere on the gift card.

For those who collect cash donations as a part of a group contribution, please use those contributions to purchase gift cards in increments of $75 to $100.

Include the original gift card receipt with each card.

Retail: VISA, Ross, TJ Maxx, Wal-Mart, Burlington Dept. Store, Epic Theater

Restaurants: Darden Brands, Applebee’s, McDonald’s, Burger King, Chick-Fil-A, Chilli's, Dairy Queen.

⚠️ Important Reminder:

When purchasing your gift card, please include the original gift card receipt with each card. This helps Residing Hope’s administration process donations efficiently.

angel tree for cuba

Our sister churches in Cuba are still struggling in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.  We have the opportunity to help them through this Advent season through an Angel Tree located in the Wesley Centre, or through an Amazon Wish List, all of which will be shipped directly to the affected areas on January 4th. Christmas Parade Hospitality Booth

Due to construction downtown, the annual Plant City Christmas Parade will be coming right in front of our church on Reynolds Street!  We will be hosting a hospitality tent, where anyone can enjoy FREE hot cocoa, cider, and Christmas cookies.  Please stop by and say hello!  The tent will be located at the corner of Reynolds and Wheeler, opening at 4 PM.  See you there!

acolyte opportunities

We have "reignited" (pun intended) the acolyte program, and are actively recruiting additional acolytes for both Sunday services. This is one of the earliest opportunities for students to serve in the church, and is an important symbol of carrying the Light of Christ.

There is also still opportunity for families to participate in the lighting of the Advent Wreath at both services.
