Setting and accomplishing goals is something to celebrate and so we recognize an eclectic group of graduates this Spring. As a group, they are a wonderful reflection God’s love. As individuals, they shine with their own unique gifts and aspirations. Coni Shaw will earn an Associate of Science degree with honors in Medical Billing and Coding from Keiser University in Lakeland. She plans to start at Florida Southern College in August. As a non-traditional student, Coni has managed to juggle her many commitments of work, caring for her dad (Lowell Shaw), and visiting shut-ins while earning her degree online.

JP Prescott will receive his bachelor's degree in Soil, Water and Ecosystem Sciences from the University of Florida. He will be spending the summer as the high school team leader at Warren Willis United Methodist Camp before moving to Orlando in the Fall to teach high school agriculture. He will also be getting his master's degree from UF in agricultural education and communications starting in the Fall online while teaching. His parents are Tim and Susie Prescott.

Colleen Petersen is graduating with honors from Plant City High School. She plans to attend an esthetician program in the Fall to become a licensed skin care professional. Colleen is a familiar figure in our church, having been active in Mindful Student Ministry and serving on the Staff/Parish Relations Committee. Charles “Chaz” Petersen is earning an Associate of Arts degree from Southern Technical College in Auburndale. His degree focuses on the steel industry with specialties in welding and fitting. The graduation ceremony is scheduled for July. Since Chaz graduated high school in the pandemic he received the diploma through the drive thru line at Plant City High School's football field. Nathan Gould is graduating from Middleton High School where he attended the Academy of Computer Game Design. He has been a member of the Electrathon Team which is an after-school club to race electric cars that the students build. He has earned 24 computer certifications and 5 building/construction certifications.
