What To Expect

Services

SUNDAY  9 AM CONTEMPORARY SERVICE  10:10 AM SUNDAY SCHOOL  11 AM TRADITIONAL SERVICE

We Look Forward To Meeting You!

Welcome to First United Methodist Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to answer briefly some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

We have two types of Sunday services to meet your needs.

The 9 AM Contemporary Service offers a relaxed atmosphere with a Praise Team and musicians to enhance your worship experience with contemporary Christian music. Enjoy a continental breakfast before service, then find your spot at one of our tables or in the main seating area.

The 11 AM Traditional Service is held in our beautiful sanctuary. The stained glass windows, rich pipe organ, and chancel choir set the tone for worship with tried and true hymns. Historic components of worship, like the Affirmation of Faith and Gloria Patri, help provide a more liturgical atmosphere and worship experience.  Come early and enjoy a continental breakfast in the library beginning at 10:30 AM, located on the second floor of the education building.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics, you're welcome at First United Methodist Church, and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. During both our Contemporary and Traditional Worship Services, we have care available for infants and toddlers. Children in Pre-K 3 through 5th grade can participate in Children's Church during the Contemporary Service at 9 AM. Your children will have the opportunity to grow in faith and learn how much Jesus loves them, with the guidance of caring and experienced leaders.

Attire

We want you to be comfortable as you worship, so please feel free to come as you are, whether that is casual or wearing your "Sunday best."  Typically, dress is more casual during the Contemporary Service.

Sermon

We have two outstanding pastors who deliver messages that are timely, applicable to our daily lives, and always grounded in the Bible.

Biblical Teaching

Here at First United Methodist Church Plant City, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged, and be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a church family that lives out faith together.
